The Vanilla Orchid Lab

Where science, beauty, and nature meet. In partnership with the University of Florida, we are proudly growing vanilla orchids as part of an exclusive research and cultivation project—bringing this rare and delicate crop to life in a controlled, greenhouse environment.

From this innovative work, we’ve formulated our own botanically-crafted skincare line, centered around the calming, antioxidant-rich properties of vanilla.

We offer exclusive access to the lab through behind-the-scenes tours, private consulting, and immersive hands-on experiences, where guests learn the art of vanilla cultivation and create their own custom vanilla wellness product to take home.

More about our Vanilla Orchids

We’re pleased to share we’ve been named the Greenhouse Vanilla Specialists in a collaboration research project with the University of Florida, as well as featured in the Greenhouse Grower Magazine, Florida Trend Publication, Bold Journey and more. As you may already know, Vanilla comes from a flower on an orchid. We’re growing and sharing our experience on how to cultivate vanilla orchids, that up until now, have not been produced in a greenhouse setting in the United States. Our unique, and soon patented design features floating trellis’ with automated water wise sprinklers, misters & energy efficient cooling wall systems. The water from our aquifer has been a valuable resource as the orchids are thriving. Nature has inspired us in so many ways and it’s only fitting that the Vanilla lab was created in an aesthetically pleasing environment that cultivates tranquility and wellness.

Vanilla, often celebrated for its delightful flavor in the culinary world, offers several potential health benefits. These benefits include: antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, mood enhancement, digestive aid, and possibly anti-cancer properties. It may also improve mental performance, and promote skin health. Incorporating vanilla into your lifestyle can contribute positively to overall health and well-being. Stay tuned for the launch of our Vanilla Product line.

The Historic Aquifer

300 feet wide and 80 feet down to the water's surface, the centuries old karst aquifer is immense. Reminicent of a mini rainforest, with towering banana trees, lush ferns and historic oaks.  The surface of the aquifer is in bloom most of the year & the water underneath crystal clear. We've been told that in the past cave divers explored the connecting underground caves & Indian artifacts were discovered.  We were happy to welcome the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation specialists to tour the aquifer and complete an analysis of it’s native plants.

Unfortunately, when we acquired the property it had been neglected for decades. We removed the discarded tires, garbage & anything else you’d imagine in a dump. Now award winning photographers capture the beauty of this geological marvel, it’s nearly impossible to fully explain the tranquil feeling it evokes as you stand at the brim. It’s proven to be a place of healing & we’re thankful to share it with guests who travel throughout the world to experience it.
